Columbus Park Site for Mayor’s Coffee Hour

On June 28 the North End annual neighborhood Coffee Hour will be held in Columbus Park from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

“Our neighborhood Coffee Hour gives residents the opportunity to come out and to spend time in their neighborhood parks and playgrounds while meeting and talking to city representatives about issues that matter to them, their families and their community,” Mayor Walsh said.

Special event is a unique opportunity for residents to express opinions about open spaces and other needs in their community on a first-hand basis.

A suggestion box will be placed in the park where residents can leave suggestions on how the city can improve on local parks, areas and city services.

Those that attend will enjoy coffee and breakfast treats provided by Dunkin’ Donuts and fresh fruit from Whole Foods Market. Families will receive a flowering plant grown in city greenhouses. A raffle to win prizes from Dunkin’ Donuts will also be held.

Information will also be available from the Boston Public Library, Boston Public Schools, Boston Police Department, and Boston Center’s for Youth and Families.

Mayor Walsh encourages residents to stop by.
