Shake the Tree helps RUFF

A private shopping event was held (3/19/18) by Shake the Tree, 67 Salem Street, to benefit RUFF, was a nice community gesture.

The special event featured shopping with 20% off the profits going to RUFF.

Food, drinks and a raffle were also provided at the special events.

The community needs more businesses like Shake the Tree to help out local non-profit organizations.

The event was labeled “Sit, Stay and Shop”.

Become a candidate for NEWNC

Candidates for the 2018 North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWRA) are being sought to run for a two-year term on the community organization that meets on a monthly basis at the Nazzaro Community Center.

The group deals with neighborhood issues and requests relating to the community at the public meeting.

Soliciting 40 residential signatures and being a resident are the only two requirements needed to be placed on the election ballot for six openings this year.

Serving on NEWNC is a first-hand opportunity to be a voice in the neighborhood.

Friends of N.E. Library very active in the community

Friends of the North End Library provides many activities and events each year for both young and old.

The all-volunteer group also works with several other neighborhood organizations to assist with community events as well.

The Friends are well organized and play a major role in the community. They simply do a terrific job and how well recognized throughout the community for the many contributions to the neighborhood.
