Passacantilli A District 1 Council Candidate

By Phil Orlandella

Lifelong North End resident Stephen Passacantilli along with three other candidates have announced their intentions to seek the Boston City Council District 1 seat following current Councilor Sal LaMattina’s decision not to seek reelection after 11 years of service.

A community activist, Stephen was an elected member of the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) and served for several years as the community organization’s President.

Currently, Stephen works for the City as an Operation Specialist in Economic Development and is reportedly a close advisor to Boston Mayor Martin J Walsh who Passacantilli vigorously campaigned for in the North End.

Stephen grew up in the district and has always had a passion for public service and government.

Raising a family in the city and a parent of a Boston school student, Stephen clearly understands the issues that impact families and seniors in the neighborhood that occur every day and throughout the years.

Stephen has been active in many neighborhood events, endeavors and continues to do so.
