NEWNC Candidates Night and Public Election Are Important

Each year, the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) conducts a public election for six seats on the community organization board. A total of twelve seats make up the board. Six seats are up for grabs every other year for two-year terms.

NEWNC is the only community elected organization to serve as the area’s voice to City Hall relating to the neighborhood issues, concerns and endeavors.

A Candidates’ Night will be held on Monday May 8 at 7 PM in the Nazzaro Community Center where they will introduce themselves and present their point of view on neighborhood related items of interest.

Any resident 18 years or older can vote in the Saturday May 20 public election held in the Nazzaro Community Center from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Residents are the key element in NEWNC’s election. It is important that they find the time to go vote for a candidate(s) to represents them.
