North End Streets need a major cleaning

Once the snow has finally melted away, the streets of the North End will require a major cleanup project.

Hopefully, the city warms up their mechanical street sweepers and hits the neighborhood from end to end.

Debris has mounted everywhere the eye can see and then some.

When the city announces that mechanical street cleaning will take place, residents and the business community need to be ready to move vehicles in a timely manner.

They can also help out by cleaning the sidewalks and curbs in front of their homes and places of business to help out.

Join up with Boston Shines for North End clean up

North End/Waterfront residents, as well as the business community should join forces with Boston Shines for their annual spring cleanup in the neighborhood.

Help get the community ready for spring by volunteering a few hours to cleanup streets, sidewalks and parks.

Cleanup dates are Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. Times and locations to be announced.

Those interested should contact Neighborhood Coordinator Nicole Leo at 617-635-4987 or visit www.cityofboston.gov/ons/bostonshines.

Frattaroli an excellent choice for ONEin3 Council

The Selection of Attorney Jessica Frattaroli of the North End to serve on Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s ONEin3 Council was an excellent choice.

Supported by the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), the Council serves as a direct link between young adults and city officials.

Jessica will fit in nicely on the action oriented group brainstorming, creating and carrying out projects that directly impact the lives of the city’s 20-24-year-olds. She will be an asset to the city to connect young adults with city government.
