A request by Battery Wharf Hotel, 3 Battery Wharf to transfer a full liquor license to replace the one currently being used was supported (6-0) by the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) at last week’s monthly meeting held in the Nazzaro Community Center.

Representatives from the new owner told residents, other than the license transfer, there will be no changes to the operation of the hotel or services.

Boston City Councilor-At-Large Michael Flaherty was NEWNC’s guest speaker. He spoke on several issues including handicapped parking and permitting, using retired Boston Police officers to handle unfilled details in the city (police are mandated to retire at age 65), permits being issued without abutters and community groups being notified and other issues of concern.

The next NEWNC monthly meeting will be held on Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.
