NEMPAC Provide a Great Service to the Neighborhood

North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) was founded in 2001 by a group of local residents seeking musical programming in the community.

They have succeeded by leaps and bounds and continue to move forward each year with musical opportunities for the neighborhood.

In 2008, the Robert White Foundation donated the use of their building in the Prado providing much needed space for NEMPAC to grow.

Currently, NEMPAC is recognized as a highly distinguished and sought after music and performing arts center in Boston. An accomplishment well deserved by the volunteer Board of Directors, Executive Director and a Private Music Instructor Coordinator.

NEMPAC has made an effort to provide affordable quality arts programming in the North End/Waterfront and certainly has accomplished this goal as a private, 501 (c) non-profit organization.

The organization provides a well received in school and after school music programming at the Eliot Boston Public School K-8 Innovation School and at Saint John Catholic School reaching out to over 600 students weekly.

By encouraging participation in the arts, NEMPAC has strengthened relationships with the community in a totally professional manner.

NEMPAC welcomes people of all ages and levels to take part in a wide array of educational music and arts programming that includes: private and group music instructions, youth music theater troupe, music and movement classes, kids rock band, Italian language for children and adults and summer music and theatre camps for children.

Besides NEMPAC programs, the community organization also offers a wide-range of concerts/events such as the NEMPAC Opera project, summer and winter concert series, outreach workshops and performances and student music recitals.

NEMPAC is a growing diversified arts organization that needs donations to keep tuition affordable, fund children’s music scholarships, attract and retain their excellent facility, provide quality music education programs, maintain their facility and instruments, rent local classrooms and rehearsal spaces and support the daily operations.

The organization is very involved with many neighborhood activities, events and endeavors.

Supporting this terrific neighborhood organization is important to the community.

NEMPAC has established an art basis in the North End that is a credible organization that provides a much needed service that is keeping the arts alive and well in the community.
