The neighborhood has several non-profit organizations that make the community a terrific place to live, work and play.
One of these, all volunteer groups is the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP)Â which is compromised North End/Waterfront residents and the business community.
FOCCP’s goal and purpose is to further the restoration, protection, preservation, care, enhancement, improvement and maintenance (work with the city) of the extremely popular park that features a beautiful view of Boston Harbor and a statue of the great navigator.
The very active organization also works with other City and State organizations to improve the park and enrich the lives of both residents and visitors.
Over the years, FOCCP has conducted numerous events, activities and programs in the park that everyone has enjoyed and they are already planning future events.
FOCCP is a super Good Neighbor working hard for the betterment of the neighborhood and deserves recognition for their continued efforts managing a beautiful and well used public park, plus all the activities they provide.
