Central Artery Ramp Parcel Study Meeting

Resulting from environmental commitments made as part of the Central Artery Tunnel project, MassDOT and the BRA is required to consider options for covering the open ramp portion on the Artery/Tunnel Parcels 6, 12 and 18 along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, according to MassDOT Legislative Liaison John Romano.

Agency officials have initiated a study to define potential cover alternatives and kicked off the work at the first public meetings held on June 26.

At the next public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 30 at the BRA 9th Floor Board From, City Hall from 6-8pm. Staff from both agencies along with their consultant team will provide an update on current and planned studied activities, present information on existing conditions and potential redevelopment options, Romano told the Review.

“The public will have an opportunity to provide input on potential alternatives for the ramp parcels,” Romano noted.

Representative Aaron Michlewitz working with community groups and residents started the ball rolling on this project.

The meeting space is assessable to people with disabilities. For details call 857-368-8905.
