Doctor Frank Campo of North End Foot, 260 North Street has been named the recipient of the August 2014 North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association “Good Neighbor” Award for helping to keep the neighborhood clean by clearing trash and debris on a regular basis in front of his business.
For many years NEWRA has presented this monthly award to a local business or residents that goes out of their away to help keep the North End clean on a regular basis.
“It’s nice to have someone from the business community, like Dr. Campo, involved in taking the time to make the neighborhood clean,” NEWRA member Janet Gilardi said. “NEWRA takes pride in recognizing those who make some sort of effort to be a part of the community.”
Dr. Campo has been practicing podiatry for 27 years, and has been located at 260 North Street for 24 years, the same location his father and uncles “The Campo Brothers” used to store pushcarts and cold storage.
On weekends, they worked at the Haymarket Pushcart area on Blackstone Street.
NEWRA, which is already considering its September “Good Neighbor” Award recipient, is a nonprofit community agency working for the betterment and preservation of the North End/Waterfront community.
