Wild Duck Expands Storage Space

The Licensing Board for the City of Boston has approved a request by Sal DiGirolamo, manager of The Wild Duck, 92-96 Salem Street to expand the all alcohol beverage retail establishment into the basement to increase storage capacity.

The store has operated without storage space or with limited storage, necessitating the use of retail sales area (aisles) for storage.

According to the manager, the business does not offer keg sales or rentals and deliveries will not increase with use of the new basement storage.

The basement space has reportedly been used for years as an illegal apartment and was a fire hazard.

Apparently, there have been complaints from neighbors about illicit activity in and just outside the unit.

The problems appear to have ended with The Wild Duck’s control of the space.
