Reportedly, District A-1 has the lowest Part 1 crime rate compared to other neighborhood Districts throughout the City of Boston.

While not listed on the chart, loud noise parties continue to be of great concern to residents.

A Suffolk University paid police detail is assigned to the area to respond to loud noise party complaints on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. A University employee rides around the neighborhood with police. Most loud parties involve college students and young professionals according to police.

A Public Safety meeting is held by police on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm in the Nazzaro Community Center.
