NEWRA/NEWNC/NECC Leaders Need to Meet on a Regular Basis

While this suggestion has been made by the Regional Review many times, it’s important that the community newspaper present it again.

Having the leadership of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association(NEWRA), the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) and the North End Chamber of Commerce (NECC) meet on a regular basis might take the edge off some of the many disagreements that currently exists between residents and the business community.

Communications can play a major role to help resolve many issues and concerns. Having everyone on the same page certainly has merit.

Each community group must learn to respect each other and their wants and needs. Discussing and negotiating issues, problems and concerns could produce a much better relationship for the community in general.

Working together can make a huge difference in the neighborhood but currently it appears to be used against them and that is simply not a healthy situation.

Hopefully, someone will step up to the plate and at least make an effort to establish a stable and united North End/Waterfront group with the community in general being top priority
