Take Advantage of Free Hazardous Material Drop-off

A hazardous waste drop-off recycling effort is being offered to Boston residents only at no cost.

This is a good opportunity for people to gather up their hazardous material out of garages and homes and get it to a proper drop-off site.

Having hazardous material located in living quarters can be extremely dangerous to your health and your pet’s health as well.

The City has established two venues on two different days to take advantage of this offer to dispose of your hazardous material that has accumulated over the years.

The first drop-off day is Saturday, September 7 from 9am-2pm at the University of Massachusetts Harbor Campus, Morrissey Boulevard, Dorchester.

If you can’t get your act together for the seventh, a second collection will be held on Saturday, November 23 from 9am-2pm at the West Roxbury Public Works Yard, 315 Gardner Street at Millennium Park.

Note: No commercial waste will be accepted. For more details call 617-635-4500.

Take advantage of this once a year opportunity.
