Dodgers Pitcher Hurls No-hitter

Local Superstar Vincent Lopriore threw a no-hitter striking out 15 in a playoff game for the 21u NEAA Dodgers in the Lou Tompkins league.

Lopriore was dominant with his blazing fastball, hard running slider and over the top curveball.

The team from Maynard tried all different approaches to handle Lopi but nothing worked. “I’ve been coaching a long-time and seen some well-pitched games but that was flat out nasty!” said longtime Dodger’s coach Ralph Martignetti.

Vin’s been tremendous all year for the Dodgers. Vin is 5-0 having thrown 41 innings and allowing 4 earned runs for a 0.68 ERA. He has also struck out 63 batters in his 41 innings. Vin graduated from Boston Latin Academy where he led his team and was selected to pitch for the Division 2 All-Stars at Fenway park. He will take his talents to Curry College in the Fall
