NEAA Little League Baseball

In a game that show cased the powerful offense of the Tigers it was the fine pitching of their 8year old pitcher, Amanda Forziati that stole the show.  Amanda pitched 2 2/3 solid innings allowing just two runs en route to the Tigers victory.  Not to be undone 8 year old Daniel Toscano made his Little League debut and although the nerves were high performed above expectations.

The young Indians battled through out the game but were just out gunned but the more experienced and veteran laden Tigers whose offense was led by Fortunato D’Amploli, DJ DiCenso, Evan Frechette along with key contributions from Nick Seaver and Richard Pagliuca.

The Indians number one pitcher, Charlie Griffin, pitched three tough innings the night before and was wisely held out of the game by the crafty Indians coaching staff which left them with the very capable Brianna Woods and Antonio Romano to pitch.  Although matched against the powerful Tiger line up, they continued to battle and through strike after strike.  Some fine defensive plays by Alessia Pantaleo and Domenic Orlando kept them close but ultimately the Tigers prevailed.
