The arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter at Puopolo Park started the 42nd annual North End Christmas Parade.

Hosted by the North End Athletic Association (NEAA), the 42nd annual North End Christmas Parade made its way up and down community streets spreading holiday cheer and handing out candy and balloons.

It all started with the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter at Puopolo Park with numerous families awaiting his touchdown.

The jolly old gent from the North Pole spent some time greeting as many kids as possible before parking himself in his convertible to kick-off the special seasonal community endeavor.

Led by marching bands and surrounded by many cartoon characters, Santa made his way through the neighborhood, Ho, Ho Hoing all the way. Many non-parade participants followed the spirited parade throughout the entire route which was secured by Boston Police.

Each year, the City of Boston and the Nazzaro Community Center work closely with the NEAA to make the parade possible.
