Emilio ‘Nemo’ Ciampa

Of Medford, formerly of the North End

Emilio “Nemo” Ciampa of Medford, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on September 20.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Rossi); devoted father of Joanna Ciampa and Phyllis Ciampa, both of Medford; brother of the late Albina Ruggieri, Clara Pallindino, Matilda Penta, Emma Flavio, Chloe Buda, Margaret Ciampa and Flora Maffei and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home,  Medford. Burial was at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent in his name to Bear Hill Nursing Center, 11 North St., Wakefield, MA 01880. For obituary, and guestbook dellorusso.net

Carmen ‘BA’ LaFerrara, 87

Lifelong North End resident

Carmen “BA”LaFerrara, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, died on September 15. He was 87 years old.

Mr. LaFerrara served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a 65 year member of the Saint Anthony Society and a member of the Town Line Bowling League in Malden for more than 40 years.

He was the beloved husband of Nancy (DeMarco) LaFerrara; dear brother of Antonetta Cavallo of Revere, Helen McGuiggan of Loraine, OH, and the brother of the late Dominica Tafralian, Josephaine Stanton, Rocco LaFerrara, Michelina Diaferio, Stella Circiello, James LaFerrara, Ann Anzalone, and Diane DeMeo. He also leaves many, many loving nieces and nephews.
